I thought I should let you knwo that Son’s final surgery will be on January 12th. It will be a long one, but Son is prepared for it. The best part is that he will leave the hospital at the end of this week without his trach
My husband is with Son on this trip. Next week, on January 21st, I will be going to Boston with Son and my two daughters. We will be meeting with Dr. Mulliken, Dr. Alomari, Ray Tye ( Ray Tye Medical Aid Foundation) and others to thank them on January 22nd. The doctors and everyone will then have the chance to see Son after the swelling subsides and stitches are out before Son returns to Vietnam.

I’ve been wondering what was happening with Son.He will be in our thoughts and prayers today. I can’t wait to see the results. We have followed his journey since he was in Toronto. Thank you to Childrens Bridge Foundation and to Olwyn and her family.!!!

Son has had is trach removed. He came out of the surgery like the trooper we know him to be. He is doing very well today.
He return to Canada on Saturday.
He will remain with Olwyn and her family until Feb 7th when he will return to Viet Nam. He is anxious to return to his family there. We can only imagine how hard it has been for them and for this brave child to be so far from home for over 2 years now.
I should have more updates next week.
NOVA Hero’s: Dr. Mullilken, Dr. Allomari, Dr. Steven Fishman, Ray Tye Medical Air Foundation. The Children’s Bridge Foundation, The Walters Family and everyone else that made this possible!

It is wonderful to know there are such kind, caring, giving people in the world willing to do so much to help others unable to help themselves. Olwyn, you are an inspiration. I applaud your efforts to give this child a more normal life. Not to mention the love you and your family have shown him while in Canada.
You are an angel!
