The organization is dedicated to aiding individuals in the management and care of vascular anomalies.
NOVA is managed by a Board of Directors under the guidance of a Medical Director. The group is assisted by medical and scientific advisors.

NOVA adheres to a strict policy of confidentiality. NOVA will not release identifiable medical information to anyone other then the patient or parent/legal guardian of a minor child without expressed written consent. Photographs will not be used in any print media for any reason without prior written consent. Personally identifiable information is stored in a secure manner. NOVA may create and distribute de-identified information by removing all references to individually identifiable information. We may do this in one of the following but not limited to ways: NOVA may compile data for organizational reports, newsletter or other documents used by our organization. We may use de-identified information in correspondence with physicians as we attempt to assist a patient or a parent of a patient. Any other uses or disclosures will be made only with your prior written authorization.

NOVA operates a public message forum at http://www.novanews.org/forum/ The message forum is a public board which can be viewed by anyone with access to the internet. Posting to the message board requires joining the board with an active email account. NOVA can not maintain confidentiality to postings on the message board forum. This web site is operated and maintained by the National Organization of Vascular Anomalies Board of Directors. NOVA is funded by contributions from individuals and private business. NOVA does not host or receive funding from advertisers.
|Charitable Status and Tax Identifications
The National Organization of Vascular Anomalies is a non-profit organization. In April 1999 the Internal Revenue Service issued a determination letter that recognized NOVA as except from federal income tax. NOVA is exempt under section 501(c)(3) Code, classified as a public charity under sections 509(a) (1) and 170 (b)(1)(A)(vi) of the Internal Revenue Code. Contributions to NOVA are tax deductible. NOVA is qualified to receive tax deductible bequests, devises, and transfers of gifts under section 2055, 2106 or 2522 of the Internal Revenue Code.
