NOVA hosted our first Family Conference in 1999.  Since then we have hosted 5 Family Conferences for those affected by Vascular Anomalies. NOVA pioneered the idea of professional medical meetings for families continues to offer these meetings at no cost to those in attendance.  NOVA brings together the leading physicians in the field of vascular anomalies from several medical disciplines involved in the diagnosis and treatment of hemangioma, vascular malforamtions and related syndromes to offer a medical seminar and medical clinic.

The Seminar: Our physician and scientific faculty come from the leading Vascular Anomalies programs in the US.  The present the most up to date information on the diagnosis and treatment of vascular anomalies as well as the latest breakthroughs in the scientific community.  Presentations included: The Classification of Vascular Anomalies, Medical Managment, Radiological Imaging, Surgical Treament, Laser, Early Intervention and Research Updates.  The seminar concludes with an open panel question and answer period where attendees are encourage to ask the physicians and scientists questions.

The Clinic: The second day of the conferences features a free medical clinic offering medical evalustions and consultations to registered patients.  The mult-disciplinary setting offers evaluation from a variety of medical disciplines indlucding dermatology, hematology/oncology, plastic surgery, surgery and ENT surgery for adult and pediatric patients. 

Small Group Sessions: Small group meetings feature opportunities for families to meet with the experts to discuss rare vascular tumors, difficult vascular anomalies, and complicated syndromes & assocations.
